At a Press Conference (my very first), I Hear Some Much-Needed Good Words

Today, at a press conference, I stand like a journalist, pen and paper in hand, scribbling, trying to catch some small fraction of the GOOD WORDS flying by. I catch precious little really, but it’s all like fresh air.

“We have a moral imperative”

“…regardless of race, creed, place of origin”

“We will not live in fear – in some places, this is a controversial statement.”

“I denounce any language that speaks of denying welcome.”

“We must speak, whenever any sister or brother is spoken of as having less value.”

“…important not to bundle 6 million Muslim-Americans with ISIS”

“First step in combatting fear, to make sure you have correct information.”

And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.
