Found in My Phone’s Photos

Antique typewriter,
display of doorknobs,
2 seats at the counter,
books stacked in the shape of a Christmas tree in background.

Memories of places I’ve been this year.

I couldn’t seem to get a good pic
of the windows in the Cathedral Cafe,
aptly named and now for sale.
$300,000, the sign said.
I consider it –
I have no idea why –
but only until my sandwich comes.

The windows are best caught
reflected in the display case,
like so many things
you can’t quite see looking straight on,
but only in reflection.
