Farmer’s Market

At the ATHENS FARMER’s MARKET
you can see
what people have been up to –
baking round loves of sourdough,
making salsa,
spinning and dying wool.
tending bees, gathering honey
and helping things grow.

Pros bring their own bags,
but those of us who stopped by spontaneously,
and not with the car that carries a bag stash,
are welcome and forgiven.

Children gather at the feet of a musician
and
the buzz of conversation alone
is music to the ears of hermits. 🙂

I was invited to leave the house and my thoughts behind, and I accepted.
Best use of a day!
