3rd Annual Neighborhood Potluck

A SIMPLE FLIER –
bring a chair and a dish to share” –
is all it takes each year
and people show up.

We first did it in 2009
spur of the moment
and it was so agreeable
that we did it again the following year
and now people talk about it
year-round
and look forward.

Grateful today for COMMUNITY.

What happens in your neck of the woods to bring people together?

We used to have family get-togethers like that in our back yard. About 60 people came. Each brought food to share.

  2. Marilyn – It seem so easy, gathering a community together around shared dishes and lawn chairs. Yet, it’s so hard to step out and make it happen. This was beautiful!

What a wonderful idea. Not hard work for anyone. I love it. The best celebrations are simple and uncomplicated.
