MADE MORE DECISIONS last week than I’ve made in a year! All good stuff. But the sudden flurry of activity stirred up a lot of creative juices.
On Saturday morning, an idea for a children’s story came into my head and I couldn’t continue with the day’s tasks until I sat down and typed with a fury all the words in my head.
All this creativity is a shock to my system. I was not raised to operate in the creative realm where things don’t fit nice and neat into the regular work hours.
I ended the week with purchase of a completely unnecessary item, yet another kitchen towel. Time to transfer a few old ones out to the garage, I think.
Next post: Another recipe!

When something comes to me, I have no choice but to stop and write it down.
If I don’t it slips away to a different place and sometimes never returns.
The best writing comes when the ideas are clear, the story is giving birth to itself and the writer becomes the one in labor. It is hard, it can be long, but what a joy when it is over.
Best analogy I ever heard, Sharon. Thank you!
Love this, Marilyn. I’ve felt that shock! A time or two…
